Help your students get back on track with our Florida Academic Support Program for Mathematics, Grade 8 (or ASP). With a pacing guide for 40 to 60 hours of the instruction, The ASP is designed for after school, tutoring, summer school, and other extended programs.
The ASP includes components that review, instruct, provide practice, and assess students' skills. Content includes the major content strands from the Sunshine State Standards: Number and Operations, Geometry and Measurement, Algebra, and Data Analysis and Probability with communication and problem solving embedded throughout.
The program offers a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, and hands-on group work. Every lesson in the student text touches upon the skills that are important in classrooms, in tests, and—most importantly—in students' everyday lives.
The 3-ring binder includes:
- Over 40 lessons with reproducible activity sheets keyed to standards
- A mathematics strategies teacher's guide that:
- Describes the purpose of the materials
- Outlines the options for using the package
