Our Academic Support Program for Algebra Grades 9-12 (or ASP) has up to 100 hours of instruction. The ASP is designed for after-school, tutoring, summer school, and other extended learning programs. It include components that review, instruct, provide practice, and assess students’ skills.
The ASP supports students who require additional help in topics included in content strands from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Problem solving, reasoning and proof, communication, and connections are embedded throughout, in a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, and hands-on group work.
This 3-ring binder includes:
- Up to 100 hours of lessons with reproducible activity sheets
- A section on test-taking strategies and a collection of practice test items
- A collection of station-based activities for small group work
- A problem-based teacher's guide that:
- describes the purpose of the materials and options for using the package
- provides pacing guide options
- recommends an assortment of graphic organizers for instructional strategies
- includes a collection of openers to—begin a class or to make a transition—and references relevant state standards
Academic Support Program: Algebra
Provides review, remediation, and real-world application for important topics in traditional Algebra courses: Solving Equations and Inequalities, Graphing Linear Equations, Polynomial Operations, and Quadratic Equations.
